Story: Nagamani Reddy (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and Bukka Reddy (Abhimanyu Singh) kill veerabhadrayya and his son (Sushanth Singh), Pratap Ravi (Vivek Oberoi)-Younger son of veerabhadrayya returns from the city and comes to know that his father and brother are brutally killed. He fights against the system and takes revenge; later he himself becomes the system. How it all happens is what Raktha Charitra is about???

Performances: Vivek Oberoi is truly exceptional, He delivered his best. Radhika Apte is simple and suited to the role. Abhimanyu Singh, Sushanth Singh are good. Kota Makes his presence felt. Shatrughan Sinha Played an important role. Cinematography is good. Music is haunting. Background Score is good. Screenplay is neat. Direction is good.

Analysis: Ramgopal Varma has come up with a Film in the Genre where he is good at….. Yes Violence (Not Horror this time). He delivered many block busters in this genre. This time he has come up with some real life inspired plots and Scenes which make the impact more. The Screenplay is neat; most of the Scenes are filled with revenge and brutal killings. Cinematography is good. Editing is o.k. Music is haunting, the title song used as background for many crucial scenes, the background Score too is impressive. Direction is good. Ram Gopal Varma came up with the same Screenplay (GODFATHER inspired) which he earlier used in Gayam, Antham, Satya, Sarkar etc; the voiceover in between helped in taking the story forward.

The performances of the cast are very good, Vivek excelled well in the role of Pratap Ravi. Radhika looked homely and suited well to the role. Abhimayu Singh scores more marks as bad man. Kota and Sushanth also impress you well in their brief roles. Shatrughan Sinha is good as political leader and his dialogue delivery especially “Topic over” was well received by the audience. Most of the cast are from Bollywood only except a few (Kota, Tanikella, and Subhaleka Sudhakar). Only some portion of the film (mostly close-up shots) are re-shot in Telugu, most of the time it gives you a feel as if you are watching a dubbing flick.
The Graph of the film is constant with no ups and downs, from the start of the film to the end; Varma maintained the same tempo and emotion. Violence is one emotion where all the sections of the Audience may or may not get connected, but this story is narrated in very high voltage that towards the Climax you get used to it.

Reel guru Meter:

[These are the recent posts of Ramgopal Varma in twitter:--

-----“Compared to the violence in 'Rakta charitra' the violence in 'Company' will look like family functions in karan johar’s films”

-----“Reddy ani peru petti theeste faction cinema kadu..... FACTION CINEMA ante ento RAKTHA CHARITRA prove chestundi”

After watching the film you have no other choice left over other than totally agreeing to his comments.]

Varma ends up the movie abruptly and make us wait to watch RAKTHA CHARITRA-2 (scheduled for release on November 19th) to conclude the story.

Family Audience and female Audience may keep away due to the heavy dosage of Violence. We have to wait and see how the youth receive the movie in all the centers.  If you are a hardcore fan of RGV movies go watch it.

Plus: Narration, Performances
Minus: too much violence, lack of Entertainment

Verdict: Violence at its peak, Watch it if You enjoy violent movies.
